Since you don’t know what I look like, I’ll come right out and tell you that I am not white. And by not white, I mean I’m the diverse candidate. This blog is about my ongoing experience as a minority — ugh, i said it — professional still trying to find the job of my dreams. Along the way, I’ve seen some pretty amazing things all in the name of “diversifying the workplace.” Bits of it are sincere, some downright pitiful, but most are too comical not to share. Since I’m currently in a position that was created just for me, a diverse candidate, I have to remain anonymous. I mean, you never know, playing the diversity card might actually land me cushy job, and I’d hate to fuck that up no matter how unlikely it is. Stay tuned for my stories….
